While AMD provided the driver, my understanding is that it is only available thru Windows Update and is the only driver for AMD HD4000 series Graphics with Windows 10 support. I noticed that after I installed Windows 10, it took away the graphical settings in the catalyst control center. It looks like AMD provided the driver specifically to support HD 4000 series cards on Windows 10. Well, my concern is that ATI Radeon HD 4200 is a legacy card, and there isnt a proper driver for windows 10. Not know what to expect this time, but I went to the Display Settings and set the resolution back to the maximum and tried to detect additional monitors, which were not found. This morning as every morning when I started the computer, it boots up and mid way when the win10 logo is about to come, one of the monitors(the primary one)drops off and goes into power save mode with the other in blue and after some time I get the watchdog I am determined not to replace the video card and will keep trying and would appreciate any suggestions to rectify this. Tried out all the techniques and tricks as available on the net but no success.Īlso reduced the refresh rate and reduced the resolution but no success. Also tried out in safe mode deleted the driver and reinstalled it but no improvement.
